AGCM

​We know that there is no greater opportunity to impact the journey of an individual than when they are a child. By knowing this, many people sacrificed their time, talent, money and lives to see growth in AG Children’s ministry of Tamil Nadu. A brief history of AGCM is given here.

Rev. Samuel Johnson

Rev. Samuel Johnson, in the September 1986 Conference, was dedicated to do Children’s Ministry. By the pure grace of God, he had been in the ministry from 1986 to 2006. In 1987 a non-AG team from America came to India and they promised him to give puppets for the children’s ministry. Unfortunately, they were denied and given to other denominations. So, with
the thought that Indian children can be reached only through Indian puppets, he started to make puppets. In 1986, Mrs. Edwards came to India and she started ‘Radiant Life’ magazine, translated the Sunday school material, and published it there. In 1989, Jim Lowell came to New Life A.G. Church, Chennai and he conducted children’s ministry training in Salem, Trichy, Madurai, Senkottai, Palayamkottai, and Tuticorin. But Rev. Samuel didn’t accept him as he was cheated by the previous foreign team. And then, missionaries Arne and Karen Dixon helped and encouraged him to do the ministry and they promised
him that they would help him in making puppets also. He started to make quality puppets for children’s ministry. The decade of the harvest was observed from 1992 to 2000 and in that period Ms. Gunn came to India to start Trinity Bible College. She stayed here for three months and she provided him with a lot of materials to do children’s ministry effectively. In 1996 Ron Sellers came to India and AGCM Training Centre was started at 15, Thomas Nagar,Saidapet, Chennai. Four students joined there to get training and the present Director of AGCM Rev. Begin Samuel is one among the students. God’s promise for this year is “They are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.” (Is.61:9). Thank God! This promise assures you that our children are the spiritual seed of Abraham and are blessed with him; blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ, with faith in him, and with every other grace.

 

Rev. Ronald Sellers
 

An AGWM missionary from Florida, USA, who came in the beginning of 1990s and settled in Madurai with his family and travelled all over the state, doing camps for children, training children ministers, and teaching in Bible schools - TBC(Madurai), TBS(Tenkasi), and SABC(Bangalore). He developed many leaders and sacrificially helped many churches in Tamilnadu.

 

 

OUR OBJECTIVE

1. To help the churches in Tamil District to have an organized children's ministry in their respective churches

2. To empower the children's workers and Sunday School teachers  in AG churches to minister to the children and lead them to Christ

3. To educate the children in our churches in basic Biblical truths and Pentecostal doctrines.

4. To reach the unsaved children in Tamilnadu through various events such as Camps, Sunday Schools, Vacation Bible Schools, etc.

SUNDAY SCHOOL SYLLABUS

- Introduced in 2017
